ZCCR Update: 7-21-14

Fresh Oil
Hey everyone!  Here is the latest from ZCCR:

* MOTORFEST 2014 is in the books!
  A HUGE "THANK YOU!" to all of our participants, sponsors, vendors, spectators, staff and volunteers who came together this past weekend to make ZCCR's signature event our best ever.  It was a fast and furious three days of automotive heaven that included a great kickoff party, laps at the world famous Watkins Glen International raceway, a fabulous charity dinner (that included solving a very suspicious "murder mystery"), an auction of fantastic items and finally the 7th annual Jonathan Krenzer memorial car & motorcycle show.  We had friends from Canada, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Jersey and of course New York join in on the fun.  We'll pay the bills and close the books in a week or so and will then make a donation to this year's charity, the Dream Factory of Rochester.  We have some fresh new surprises in store for MOTORFEST 2015 (July 18 & 19, 2015), so put it on your calendars NOW!
Here is a link to some pics from the weekend:
* This Saturday July 26 we will be heading a bit east down the NYS Thruway to participate in "Street Scene 2014" in Liverpool NY.  This is a great gathering of all things import, from stock to custom, old school to newborns and everything in between.  If you want to join in on the fun we will be departing from the Bruegger's Bagels on Rt. 96 in Bushnell's Basin Saturday at 9am.  We hope to Z you there.  Check out information on the event here:

* Coming up in August:
Five ZCCRers will be entering our cars in Hemmings Sports & Exotic Car Magazines' show in Saratoga Springs on August 2.  Hemmings is a national magazine with an international following, and Datsun/Nissan is a featured marque this year, so we're quite excited to be representing ZCCR at this event. Look for a full report here AND in the pages of Hemmings October issue.
* August 17 is one of our favorite events of the year,  Z FEST hosted by our friends at the Ontario Z Owners Assoc.  This year it will be at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum in Hamilton, Ont.  We'll be leaving that morning to caravan up to the show.  It's a GREAT event with GREAT Z friends, so plan on turning out with us.  Watch your email for full details the week of the event.
* ZCCR's annual birthday picnic has been delayed a month and transformed into a CLAM BAKE!  We will have our annual celebration on Saturday September 27 and a lodge in Powder Mill Park and it will be a good 'ole fashioned clam bake!  Save the date!

That's it for now, lotZ of driving still left to do!

* No need to RSVP, we leave at 7:15, just show up and go!
* This event is weather sensitive, in the case of all-out rain, it will be rescheduled.

We expect to return home late Sunday afternoon.  Whether you join up with your club or make the trip on your own, it's a great experience and will get you revved up for summer driving!

* After Memorial Day, ZCCR will again participate in the biggest car show in the Rochester area, the Street Machines of Rochester Outdoor Auto Show on Sunday June 8.  It's always a great time and ZCCR always leads the way in club attendance.  You can save some time and money by per-registering HERE:  http://streetmachinesofrochester.com/outdoorreg.htm
Complete show information here:  http://streetmachinesofrochester.com/outdoorflyer.pdf

That's it for now!  Get your cars tuned up, fired up and polished up, it's time to DRIVE.
