The Z Car Club of Rochester's Annual Hot Import DayZ CAR & MOTORCYCLE Show Weekend is coming fast! The dates are Friday July 13, Saturday July 14 and Sunday July 15, 2012.
It's grown to be a big regional event and a great time is certain for all! Here's our event registration form and our event poster. * Host hotel is again the Holiday Inn Express on Holt Road in Webster NY at the discounted rate of $99 per night (must mention "Z Car Club Group" when reserving). * Car Show will be held on SUNDAY JULY 15 at the Elks Lodge property on Jackson Rd. in Webster NY nearby the host hotel.
* In addition to cars from all over the import world, import MOTORCYCLES are included in 2012!
* Awards will be selected by an expert panel of judges selecting Best in Class for Nissan/Datsun, "TOP 25 CARS & TOP 10 MOTORCYCLES" for all other marques, Best in Show, Best Engine, Best Paint, Best Interior.
* Friday evening will have a kickoff party at the Holiday Inn.
* Saturday will have a road rally to Corning, NY and scenic and interesting destinations of the Finger Lakes region.
* Saturday evening will have us at the event hotel for a Casino Night with food and beverages too!
* Sunday is the 5th Annual Jonathan Krenzer Memorial Show at the Elks Lodge. Music, food, raffles, prizes , vendors and lots of cool vehicles!
* Expanded vendor area with automotive providers of all types.
This is once again a CHARITY EVENT, this year supporting BIVONA Child Advocacy Center.
Thanks for your interest in our event. Please help to spread the word far and wide to get as many Z and Import Car and Motorcycle fanatics as possible to join in on the fun! The event has grown over the past few years and we expect in excess of 250 vehicles on display. Everyone has a great time and we have been able to donate over $30,000 in the last decade to local charities.

 Hey All! Here is the latest from ZCCR:
* THE NEXT ZCCR event is this Saturday May 12, 9am to 2pm. Join us for the GREAT ZCCR SPRING SWAP MEET! This year we are happy to have the event hosted by the crew at Red Eye Imports/Ztek mfg., located at 15 McArdle Street in Rochester, 14611 (McArdle is located between Mt. Read Blvd just north of Buffalo Rd. and Glide St.) and the web site is redeyeperformance.com .
This is your chance to BUY/SELL/TRADE Z parts and accessories! Finish that project! Find that elusive part! Get rid of those parts in your garage! Send out your WANT LIST beforehand and let's get those parts moving! Red Eye/Ztek will have some domos running on the CNC machines and a Z32 Straman will be getting reassembled. Other specialty Nissans will be on display for all to see.
The ZpartZ crew has a TON of Z parts of all generations available, so shoot me an email if you have something specific that you are looking for and I will bring it to the swap meet!
* It is with much sadness that I report to those of you who don't already know the passing of New York Z Car Club member Tommy Sullivan and his family in a tragic fire at his home in Carmel NY this past week. Tom was a Captain in the Larchmount NY police department and long time Z fan. His ride was Todd Owlett's former car, a pristine 1978 280Z that wore the plates "SULLYS Z". Tom's son Tom Jr. was the only survivor of this tragedy. ZCCR will be making a donation to a memorial fund to benefit Tom Jr. Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers.
* If you participated in the past Street Machines of Rochester Outdoor Car Show, you should have gotten a registration form in the mail for the show coming up on June 10. Pre-register early to avoid waiting in long lines at the show. This is one of ZCCR's best attended events, so plan on being there again this year!

 Hey All! Here is the latest from ZCCR: * This past Saturday ZCCR was hosted by the crew at WILSON PERFORMANCE to a DYNO DAY at their facility. A huge gang of ZCCRers turned out to check out the action. Quite a few were curious to see how much horsepower and torque their car actually produced, so on the Dyno they went! The state of the art equipment at Wilson accurately mapped the performance of several Zs, and a Mustang or two, and most everyone was pleasantly surprised with the results. Prizes were given for highest HP, most "optimistic" HP and most accurate HP. A BIG THANK YOU to Rick Wilson and his staff for hosting us to this fun event. I encourage you to check out Wilson Performance to get your car tuned to it's potential. A few pics attached. * There is ONE slot still available to join us for our trip to the Carlisle All Import Nationals in Carlisle PA form May 18-20. A hearty crew of ZCCR ZcarnutZ are again partaking in this annual event. Over 2000 imports on display!  DYNO DAY SHOW & SHINE at WILSON PERFORMANCE - Yeah, it's a little bit on the chilly side, but this week's rains have washed away the last traces of road salt and tomorrow is supposed to be SUNNY! So come on out to our event...

 Mother Nature seems to have reversed March & April's weather, it cost us some Opening Day fun at Watkins Glen this past weekend, but at least it's temporary and ZCCR still has it GOIN' ON! * This Saturday April 28 the crew at WILSON PERFOMANCE is opening their doors to ZCCR for a special DYNO DAY SHOW & SHINE!

* We will be needing volunteers to help with ZCCR's big yearly event. Smartly retitled "Hot Import DayZ", the event is scheduled for the weekend of July 13-15. This year it encompasses a Friday kickoff party at the Holiday Inn in Webster, a Saturday road rally through the beautiful Finger Lakes region to Corning NY, a Saturday evening CASINO NIGHT at the Holiday Inn and finally on Sunday the 5th Annual Jonathan Krenzer Memorial All Import Car & Motorcycle Show at the Elks Lodge on Jackson Road in Webster. If you can lend a helping hand at the car show it would be most appreciated!* The local charity selected to benefit from this yea's car show is the Bevona Child Advocacy Center ( http://bivonacac.org/ ). The mission of Bivona Child Advocacy Center is to coordinate and provide services and support to meet the needs of child victims of sexual or physical abuse and their families at a single and safe, child-friendly facility. The Center is committed to reducing trauma, promoting accountability, fostering healing, and advocating on behalf of child victims of sexual and physical abuse.
Your participation in ZCCR and our Hot Import DayZ event helps to support this and other charitable orgainizations in our community.
* Our next event after the Dyno Day will be ZCCR's Annual Spring Swap Meet on Saturday May 12, 9am-2pm. The crew at Red Eye Imports/Ztek mfg. is hosting our Swap Meet this year in conjunction with an Open House so you can all see what great performance options and accessories they offer. Red Eye / Ztek will have some demos running on the CNC machines and also have a Z32 Straman convertible getting reassembled. There will also be their other specialty Nissans on display for all to see. Red Eye / Ztek is located at 15 McArdle St. in Rochester (14611 near Mt.  Hey All! Here is the latest from ZCCR: * Our First Driving Event of the year is quickly approaching! On Sunday April 22, we will be heading to Watkins Glen International to enjoy Opening Day 2012! Watch your emails the week of the event for exact details, but plan on departing from the southeast suburbs of Rochester at 8am that Sunday. * The crew at ZpartZ has two new arrivals for your parts needs. An early 1974 260Z and a 1978 280Z are being parted out over the next month or so. Shout out your needs OR come out to the GREAT ZCCR Spring Swap Meet to hunt for those elusive parts you have been looking for to complete your projects. * Speaking of the Spring Swap Meet, it wil be held on SATURDAY MAY 12 at my home in Webster. 9am-2pm, it's your chance to BUY/SELL/TRADE Z parts, accessories and collectibles. It's a great chance to dust off your Z, hang out with your palZ and get some parts spread around the Z community!
